Chainwheels
Components | Ariel
| Fleet | Footscray Ariel
This
is the design of Components Ltd chainwheel used on Ariel and Fleet cycles
from 1896 to 1925. Also used on the early Ariel and Fleet motorcycles.
The basic design was either one piece or could have a separate centre
with three bolts to attach the outer chainwheel.
Other styles of chainwheel of a more conventional sort were also used
on some of the lower priced models.
